Prepare to leave warning for Qld fire

Residents have been told to prepare to leave as a bushfire burns towards the St Mary State Forest near Queensland's Fraser Coast.

The fire is travelling from Glenbar Road towards the forest and emergency services have warned it is likely to affect St Mary.

Crews are working to contain the fire and people in the area will be affected by smoke causing reduced visibility.

Those who do not have a bushfire plan or intend to leave have been advised to be ready to do so as the situation could get worse.
