Kazuals’ undefeated run in the Geraldton netball season has come to an end after Aztecs got up over the ladder leaders 59-49 on Tuesday.

Kazuals’ 8-0 start to the season had its first blemish at the hands of Aztecs who have got the best of them in past years.

Normally it is Aztecs who have dominated the competition, with the side winning each of the past three grand finals.

This year, it has been Kazuals who have ran the league, winning their first eight games, including defeating Aztecs twice.

However, Aztecs had their number on Tuesday, getting up by 10 points.

In the other clash, between third and fourth, Pumas got up over Lightning 48-35.

The sides were tied with a 3-5 record coming into the match but the win puts Pumas a game ahead on the ladder with just four games left to play for the regular season.

Falcons had the bye but will chase their first win for the season against Aztecs next Tuesday in the 8pm game, while Kazuals will look to redeem their loss when they face Lightning at 6.30pm.
