Spartans Green chasing more success as qualifiers wind down

Spartans Green will have an eye on first place when they clash with Saints Red on Friday night in the second-last round of qualifiers in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Basketball Association’s men’s division two competition.
It follows an impressive display last weekend in round 12, when Spartans Green beat CBC by three points, 50-47.
CBC retained first place, but Spartans Green drew level on seven wins.
In a tight contest, Kelby Virgin’s game-high 20 points and Tejay Webber’s 10 points got Spartans Green home.
Jake Coysh contributed 13 points in a losing effort for CBC.
Three matches will be played this Friday night in the division, starting at 6.15pm when Saints take on Olympians.
Also on Friday night at 7.30pm CBC and Saints clash in a battle of the top sides in the men’s division one competition.
They each have 10 wins, against three losses, with CBC first on percentage.
