Eurovision runner-up Dami Im will perform at Narrogin for two nights during her week-long regional WA tour

An Australian Eurovision Song Contest runner-up and X Factor winner will travel from Brisbane and take the stage for two nights in a Wheatbelt town.

Dami Im will perform her acoustic set at Narrogin Town Hall on March 25 and 26 on the first stop of her week-long An Evening With Dami Im Acoustic Reflections regional WA tour.

The Australian singer-songwriter achieved the highest Eurovision score for Australia in 2016 with the song Sound Of Silence, and won The X Factor in 2013.

Im said she was excited to connect with new fans.

“I’m really excited because it’s the only town I’m doing two shows in a row because the first one sold out so quickly, so it’s really awesome to have that kind of enthusiasm,” she said.

“It’s the most warmest reception we’re getting out of all the shows.

“Every time I’ve performed in the smaller cities and towns, I’ve always got such a beautiful connection and reception with the audience.

“And having enthusiastic fans that I didn’t know were in the area and getting to connect with them, that’s really exciting as an artist.”

She said this would be her first time visiting the Upper Great Southern region and she was looking forward to exploring the landscapes, meeting new people, and “taking it all in”.

The Australian star will be joined by her husband and son on tour.

Arts Narrogin has organised a free bus service to run from Northam to Narrogin for attendees on March 25.

An Evening With Dami Im Acoustic Reflections will also have shows in Kwinana, Thornlie and Harvey from March 27-29.
