Skating At ice rink brings holiday fun to Elizabeth Quay
If you’re looking for ways to embrace the wintery weather these school holidays, Skating At has got you covered.
Today Skating At returns to Elizabeth Quay for its third instalment in as many years, running every day until Sunday July 21st.
The pop-up event boasts a strong trio: its signature ice rink, delicious food trucks and a bar for parents to enjoy a drink while kids skate under the watch of ice marshals.
“We have sessions starting from 9 o’clock in the morning and they run until 9:45 in the evening,” Site Manager Niki Cunningham said.
“It runs the whole school holidays finishing in the middle of July. We’re super excited about it, it’s going to be great.”
With one surprise food truck still to be announced, That Food Truck is locked in to serve everybody’s favourite burgers and chips.
For parents, there’s winter warming tea and coffee if an ice-cold beer doesn’t tickle your fancy on the cooler nights.
“We’re going to have a good space for everyone to just socialise and relax while everyone else is having fun on the ice,” Niki said.
“It was a really big success last year, everyone was talking about it,” Niki said.
“We’re all super excited for it to be back.”
The ice rink holds a maximum of 180 people at a time, so there’s bound to be plenty of space for everyone to get involved.
