Fuel outlet Caltex has announced it has closed its diesel stop in the remote coastal town of Onslow.

The decision to close the 24-hour diesel stop just outside the town centre came into effect last Monday.

A spokesperson said it made the decision to close the outlet following the lease expiring and will be carrying out decommissioning works at the site.

“Caltex has made the decision to close its diesel fuel stop on Lot 186 Onslow Road from Monday, December 7,” they said. “Once the site is closed, we will conduct decommissioning works before handing the site back to the landlord early next year.

“We would like to thank the community of Onslow for their support over the past several years.”

The service station in the Onslow town centre will continue to sell diesel.
