King Bay Game Fishing Club junior anglers win big at Game Fishing Association of Australia tournament

Several King Bay Game Fishing Club anglers came away with big achievements after taking a clean sweep of State awards and national titles at the Game Fishing Association of Australia junior tournament. The year-long tournament, open to all junior game fishing club members, saw 250 junior and small fry anglers represent 50 clubs across the nation. Among the winners were siblings Mia Grasso, 7, who won the WA small fry female capture and release award, and Max Grasso, 11, who won the WA small fry male capture and release and the national small fry capture and release awards. Mia tagged a total of six game fish and measured and released 24 fish, while Max tagged 78 game fish and weighed in 22 fish. Jessica Hornhardt, 14, came away with the WA junior female capture and the national junior capture awards, while her sister Chloe won the WA junior release award. Max said he hoped to go to New Zealand to represent Australia.
