Man charged over Roebourne hit-and-run
A man from York has been charged with dangerous driving over a hit-and-run crash in Roebourne that left a 13-year-old girl seriously injured.
Police allege the 50-year-old man was the driver of a vehicle that struck the teenager on Andover Way on Saturday, September 15 last year and did not stop at the scene.
The girl sustained serious facial injuries in the crash and had to be flown to Perth Children’s Hospital for treatment.
Roebourne police have charged the man with dangerous driving occasioning bodily harm, failure to report an incident occasioning bodily harm and failure to stop and render assistance.
He is due to appear in the Karratha Magistrate’s Court on Friday, February 22.
