Learmonth residents, visitors and small businesses are expected to have improved coverage, capacity to take and receive calls and send texts with the first Optus tower switched on in the area.

The tower will enhance Optus’ touch points across the region, particularly through the Cape Range National Park and along Minilya-Exmouth Road.

Optus WA territory general manager Paul O’Neill said he was proud to provide another tower in regional WA.

“Our mission, as we continue to expand our footprint and strengthen the digital economy, is to provide locals with the opportunity to choose a great network provider to suit their needs and offer a reliable connection to the network,” he said.

“The tower in Learmonth will give customers access to our fast 4G service for streaming and downloading content and allows competition and choice for local businesses and residents by offering a network at a great value.”

Learmonth is home to the popular tourist area of Turquoise Bay and the Learmonth RAAF Base, also known as Exmouth Airport.
