Police call for witnesses to Karratha hit and run

West Pilbara Detectives are calling for information into a hit and run in Baynton in the early hours of this morning which left a man seriously injured.

A 41-year old man was struck by a vehicle as he was walking along Mujira Ramble, near Bajamalu Drive, at about 2.30am this morning.

The vehicle did not stop and left the scene.

The man was taken to Nickol Bay Hospital with serious injuries.

He is currently in a stable condition, but is expected to soon be transferred to a Perth hospital.

Police are hoping to speak to any witnesses to the crash or anyone with information about the vehicle involved.

They are also appealing for people in the area to check their CCTV systems or dash cam footage.
