Three charged over Karratha armed robbery
Three people have today been charged over a service station armed robbery in Gap Ridge in the early hours of Wednesday.
Police allege one man and two teenage boys — one armed with a meat cleaver and one with a tyre lever — entered the service station store disguised with hoodies at about 12:30am.
They allegedly demanded money and cigarettes from a store attendant, and took those before leaving the store.
Police also believe the same three people were involved in a burglary and robbery late at night on Monday in which cash was stolen from a Baynton café.
Detectives have charged a 24-year-old man, a 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy, all from Baynton, with aggravated armed robbery and aggravated armed burglary over the incidents.
All three accused are due to appear in Karratha Magistrate’s Court today.
