The Wickham Wolves have again proved difficult to beat at home, taking down visiting Port Hedland Rovers by almost 100 points on Saturday night.

What started out as a close game in the first quarter, with the Wolves kicking 1.6 and the Rovers 1.4, quickly turned to havoc in the second term as Wickham piled on the goals.

While Port only managed 1.1, the Wolves started their charge and booted 5.2 to lead their rivals by 33 points at the major change.

The damage continued in the third quarter as Wickham’s unstoppable forwards kicked another six goals, compared to just three points from the Rovers, and led by 67 points at the final break.

The Wolves five more goals in the last quarter but the damage could have been worse with the home side also kicking five points and missing opportunities to add to the devastation.
