Athletes strive for personal bests
Karratha Little Athletics held its third competition night last Friday.
The running track was a highlight as many strove for new personal bests.
In the 70m sprint, Jerome Ieremia and Darcy Gray smashed their previous times in the boys' under-9s category.
In the girls' under-9s 70m dash, Kate Rintoul and Rhani Kammerer set stunning paces.
The tiny tot under-7s tackled the hurdles down the 60m track.
In the girls' event, Lily Bell pulled off her best result yet with a time of 13.64 seconds.
In the boys' hurdles, Harry Giancono achieved a time of 10.67 seconds, almost a second faster than his previous attempt.
In the 200m, Madeleine Keogh broke the minute mark with a great time of 57.92 seconds to achieve her personal best to date this year.
In the boys' under-10s 200m Jack Dunbar, achieved his best in 42.47 seconds.
In the under-8s girls' shot put, Ayah McCallum achieved 5.16m, while in the boys' discus, Ethan Tunstead threw 11.26m.
In the under-7s turbo javelin, Jamarah Walley and Kai Warren threw personal bests of 7.74m and 10.22m respectively.
Caleb Byrne launched himself a whopping 2.66m in the long jump.
