There are only two weeks until the Karratha Basketball Association finals but Thursday night's regular season games are already being played just as hard.

In women's B-grade competition Murujuga Yirratharnangga and the Tigers finished their match 16-all.

Murujuga led into the half-time break 14-11, but could only muster two points after the break while Tigers managed to sink five to tie the game up.

Murujuga's Jamie Lee Jenkins-Park and Amelia Dann both scored six points while Arran McOscar chipped in for Tigers with the same amount.

Kerry Anne Fishlock, Brooke Short and Jenkins-Park were named the three best players of the match.

Flyers Red had a decent win against Time Out with a solid lead of 10 points established at the first break.

Flyers Red player Jessica Dickson and Time Out's Nickola Turner were their respective teams' most valuable players.

But Flyers Red had all the answers as they ran away with the match 37-13.

Beavers came back from a three-point deficit in their game against Sinners.

Locking down their defence in the second half they kept Sinners to a single scoring play while putting in nine of their own points to eclipse their competitors 16-12.

The Beavers' Rebecca Penglase and Whitney Barker helped mount the comeback while Rowenia Tumoana put on a strong display for Sinners.

In women's A-grade ladder leaders Flyers had a slow start against Croodz but led at half-time 7-2.

Flyers Daneele Ryan was the lone scorer for her side in the opening exchange, scoring all seven points.

In the second half it started raining buckets for Flyers as Sheree Davies dominated with 13 points on their way to a 34-8 win.

Davies, teammate Cassie Perry and Croodz' Shirley Anne Wilson were named the best players of the match.

Raiders had a slow start against Falcons before a stronger second half made the final scoreline more respectable.

Their 15 points in the second wasn't good enough to beat Falcons, who won the game 29-19.

Ali Richards and Aroha Huamaha were too good for Falcons while Raiders' Cheyenne Wailu helped anchor the middle for her side.

In men's A-grade a tough match was played between Thunder and Kangas, marred by fouls.

Thunder led by a single basket at half-time (13-11) but Kangas were not going to back down in this hard-fought battle.

Thunder faltered, losing their lead and ultimately the match 24-21 to Kangas, who are looking good coming into the finals.

Rickardo Dalais and Joel Nock from Kangas were named best of the match with Thunders' Kamin Binashiz.

Tropics beat the Heat 29-10, while Pacers were beaten by Mayuga Majik 45-28 in the other two A-grade matches of the round.

The men's B-grade games were all close affairs.

Thunder and Titans were within a point of each other throughout the early exchanges of the game with Thunders' young squad holding up to an in-form Titans side.

However, Thunder were beaten by three points 32-29.

Shaun Park had another memorable game for Titans while Maeva Walker and Sam Third put in a good showing for Thunder.

In Prodigy versus Nobles the half-time scores were tied 19-all.

As Prodigy tired though they lost their grip in the tug-of-war battle and lost 33-29.

Prodigy player Steve Semeniuk along with Nobles players John Lascona and Robert Arong took the honours for best players of the match.

In the other match of the division Flakers beat Murujuga Yayijirri 27-23 after trailing at the first break.

Flakers players Jason Heard and Shane Badham were named the best alongside Murujuga player Rex Munda.

Teams representing Karratha will also be competing at country week in Perth this weekend.
