It was an eventful round 1 in the 2015 Karratha Netball Association winter competition.

In division 1 the Cougars looked to have the game all but locked up before squandering a 14-point lead as Blades mounted a fighting comeback to win the first match-up of the season 40-46.

Another close game in division 4 resulted in Blades 3 winning by a mere two points against Thunderbolts 6, 33-31.

The division 3 game between Tequiras 4 and Panthers 2 was close throughout until Panthers pushed out a winning lead in the final quarter to win 29-19.

In the under-10s, Thunderbolts 16 and Reckers squared off in a competitive game that ended in a draw, as many of the young players participated in their first ever netball game.

In the under-16s, pool B Dampier proved to be too strong for Tequiras, winning 42-23.
