An Exmouth bottle shop is hoping to open every Sunday between April and October.

Owners of Cellarbrations – Sam’s Cellars have applied for an extended trading permit from the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor with the Shire of Exmouth’s support.

Owner Rob Manning said opening on Sundays would be of huge benefit to the town’s visitors during tourism season.

“Because Exmouth is a tourist town, people want to see vibrancy and activity any day of the week,” he said.

“It’s not just about good business for us; it’s also about providing that service for the visitors (and) also for the whole town.”

The bottle shop was previously granted a permit to trade on Sundays between April and September which has since expired.

“We’re asking for October as well because what we found with the other one (was that) the end of the season is really after the October school holidays so we were sort of missing out on the end of the season,” Mr Manning said.
