Pannawonica's community hall was turned into a Japanese wonderland over the weekend for the annual gala ball.

Young Perth band Alcatraz got the dressed-up ladies onto the dance floor early in the night and even had a few of the men dancing by the end.

Lady Velvet Burlesque dancers Lola Moore and Sugar Dujour were the star attractions, with almost everyone at the ball posing for photos.

Gala association secretary Natalie Jordan said it was good to see the town come together for a night of elegance.

"Events like this are rare in an isolated town like Pannawonica," she said.

"To be able to achieve such a great evening is a credit to the wonderful team and volunteers."

Jeff and Laura Poole were lucky winners of the raffle and $320 from the donations lucky dip.

There was more on offer as the town oval filled up for a family day on Sunday.

Stalls with show bags, face painting and homemade goods were busy all day, while waterslides, bouncy castles, camels and space simulators made the long trek out for the day.
