The sprint cars got out on the track for the first time this year at the Nickol Bay Speedway, but engine troubles meant Graham Wilson was the sole survivor at the end of the night.

John Magerl’s sprinter caused him grief right from the outset, leaving Wilson to claim full points.

The wingless racers once again provided plenty of action, with Troy O’Keefe and Jayd Matthews duking it out up front and Chantelle Magerl not too for off the pace.

Matthews gained the advantage early in most races, but steering problems and a hungry driver in O’Keefe breathing down his neck meant he failed to finish in top spot.

In the juniors Kurtis Blackburn and Matt Magerl picked up where they left off in round one, jostling with eachother and Jared Coutts for top spot.

Blackburn got the wood on Magerl this time, with Coutts also coming in ahead of Magerl.

Order was restored in the street stocks with Matt Herbert coming in ahead of Steve Griffo and Marty Coutts.

Round one winner Alan Couper had a rough night, coming off in the heats and failing to finish the race.

Herbert’s victory edges him with 20 points off Couper after two rounds of racing.

In the modifieds Brett Mills provided plenty of spills for spectators but ended up taking out the feature race, with Justin Street coming in ahead of Ted Street in the productions.
