Exports sweep round three with 8-1 win

Sean FitzmauricePilbara News

The Karratha Dampier Men’s Darts Association played out of the Karratha Rec Club for week three.

Unfortunately the Islanders could not field a side against the Wizards due to work and travel commitments and had to forfeit, but the other eight teams hit the boards and it was game on.

The Tigers hosted the Warriors and, after a tight tussle, went down four games to five.

New kids on the block the Chalkies came up against the Mangrove Jacks, with the Jacks taking out the match 6-3 with steady darts.

Across the room the Ironmen, who have had a very solid start to the season led by Captain R Nicholls, came up with another win beating the Magic 6-3.

In the last game of the night, the powerful Exports showed poise and skill to humble the Pythons 8-1.

The best average for the night went to J Little with a 63.52 and the highest peg went to S Stewart with a 127 take out.

The Mighty Sid Walker came up with the only 180 of the night.
