A biannual Karratha amateur boxing tournament is sure to thrill as Pilbara pugilists take on each other and Perth fighters in a 10-fight card on Saturday night.

Hosted by the Karratha Raiders Boxing Club, Fight Night V will showcase local talent at the Karratha Leisureplex, including Raiders' Sam Moynihan, 81kg, 15-year-old Roberto Fernandez, 56kg and Rianne Ware 60kg.

The trio are taking on Perth fighters from the likes of Cuban Boxing Club and Rifle Boxing Club.

Raiders founder Shane McDonald said there were also three Wickham fighters, one Port Hedland boxer and two more from Newman also primed for bouts.

"This year we have special guest master of ceremonies (and former West Coast Eagles player) Glen Jakovich," he said.

"Catering will be by Empire 6714, with ringside entertainment from the Synergy Dance Company."

Tickets are on sale for VIP and general seating and can be bought at http://www.karrathaboxingclub.com.

Doors open at 6.30pm, with the first fight at 7.30pm.

The club still holds cardio classes at the Leisureplex two nights a week and training sessions for club members in the Karratha Light Industrial Area.

After the tournament, McDonald's boxers will continue to train for the Golden Gloves in Brisbane in August, the State Golden Gloves in Perth not long after, and the WA State Titles in October.
