The boys from the Karratha Falcons Football Club will be shaking their charity tins on Purple Bra Day to raise money for Breast Cancer Care WA.

The Club will host the fundraiser event on June 20 at Bulgarra Oval between 2-5pm, before their football match which will be dedicated to Purple Bra Day.

Falcons Committee member Brett McCormack said the event was all about having fun, raising funds and making the community more breast aware.

“This year we’ve got a brand new president and committee and we decided a key goal for the club should be giving back more to the community,” he said.

“Purple Bra Day is a really female driven charity event, so it’s a perfect cause for us to support to give back to women around the club and raise money for an extremely valuable organisation.

“We will be running a morning tea, raffles and door prizes and will have a local woman who has utilised the services of Breast Cancer Care WA to do the coin toss before the match.”

Mr McCormack said the Falcons aimed to raise more than $1000 for breast cancer support services.

“Everything we make will go to Breast Cancer Care WA,” he said.

“We encourage all team members and the wider community to join us for our fundraiser and stick around to enjoy a good game of local footy,” he said.

Entry to the Purple Bra Day afternoon tea is $10.
