Free sport for the holidays

Kate HodgesPilbara News

Karratha Inclusive is encouraging locals to come and enjoy free sport, food and fun this October.

The school holiday activity program is run by local sports clubs and associations.

All sessions, food and drink will be provided free of charge.

Inclusion WA is an organisation dedicated to enriching the lives of people who may be disadvantaged, disconnected from society or living with a disability by facilitating inclusion in sport, recreation and community life.

Lawn bowls will be played from 9am on October 2 and 9 at Karratha Bowls Club.

Beatz Dance Crew will be featured on October 3 and 10 from 5.30pm at Lotteries House.

Bulgarra Oval will host T-ball on October 4 and 7 from 9am, and basketball will be played at the Wickham Sports Complex at 4pm.

The program has been operating in Karratha for two years.

A free, wheelchair-accessible bus service from Dampier is also available to bring participants to and from the activity sites.

Carers and family members are strongly encouraged to get involved in the chance to spend time together and make new friendships in the local community.

Registrations are required to participate in activities and book seats on buses.

Those wishing to register to participate or volunteer their time, please contact Rebecca Fitzgerald on (08) 9144 2429 or email karrathainclusive@gmail.com .
