Karratha golfers battled scorching conditions in round two of the Karratha Golf Club’s summer competition.

In Saturday’s second round at the Karratha Country Club golfers faced 40 degree temperatures and tricky conditions with a hot breeze.

Leah Vogler came out with best lady, Wayne Hanson with best veteran and Michael Heap with the best gross.

John Hone, 21 points, won the stableford event with Phil Woodcock finished second and Michael Heap rounding out the top three with 20 points.

In the novelty prizes Aaron Durkin won the men’s long drive, men’s Nearest the Pin went to Bill Guest and Longest Putt for hole 11 was awarded to Alf Worsley.

June Worsley was awarded Ladies Long drive for hole 15.
