Award-winning indigenous artists, a comedy evening and designer fashion parades are just some of the events lined up for NAIDOC 2015 in the Pilbara.

The City of Karratha NAIDOC festival will deliver traditional experiences at six events designed for people of all ethnic groups to come together and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and achievements.

NAIDOC celebrations begin this Saturday at Roebourne Old Reserve from 3pm.

City of Karratha Deputy Mayor John Lally said NAIDOC 2015 would bring the community together to appreciate indigenous people, and he encouraged everyone to take part in the events.

"NAIDOC is a great way for people to immerse themselves in Aboriginal culture, learning about and experiencing the unique and special traditions of indigenous Australians," he said.

"The quality of activities and performers this year is again very high and we are thrilled to present the community with such a talented and varied NAIDOC line-up with something for everyone to enjoy," he said.

"We have ensured NAIDOC events are happening in every town in the City and I would encourage everyone to head along, join in the festivities and celebrate indigenous culture as a community."

Roebourne Advisory Group councillor Fiona White-Hartig said she was excited to announce the return of the NAIDOC Ball to this year's calendar of events.

"It's been almost 10 years since the last NAIDOC Ball in Roebourne, it's great to see the Bornor Gundi Guruma Aboriginal Corporation bring the tradition back to the community," she said.

"Given that NAIDOC is such a high-profile event, it's great to have formal event to celebrate.

"People will be travelling from all over the State to attend; it should be a great night out for everyone in Roebourne."

The NAIDOC Ball will be held at Roebourne 50cent Hall on July 11.

Tickets can be purchased from Roebourne Visitors Centre, Roebourne Post Office, Mobile Cuisine Van and Sonya Keyser.

The Shire of Ashburton will also have NAIDOC celebrations in Pannawonica, Tom Price and Paraburdoo on July 2-12.
