When Hedlanders unwrap their presents this Christmas, they are likely to find homemade gifts from their own backyard, thanks to the craftspeople at this year’s Twilight Christmas Markets.

Homemade and locally sourced goods were on display last Saturday night and residents browsed artisan wares and gift ideas.

With the Andrew McLaughlin Community Centre hosting the annual event, more than 40 market stalls meant there was no shortage of items on show.

While parents browsed the art pieces, jewellery and clothing, the children seemed happy to meet Santa, listen to live music and chomp on sweets.
