Man injured in crane collapse

A man has been injured after a crane collapsed on a Karratha building site.

The incident occurred earlier this afternoon at The Quarter, forcing police to shut the Sharpe Avenue and Karratha Terrace intersection.

A 30-year-old man was taken to Nickol Bay Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police and firefighters remained on the scene this afternoon.
