There were mixed results at the Karratha Water Polo Association's Thursday night competition on February 13.

In the women's game, between Pirates and Barracudas, the scores were locked at five goals apiece at three-quarter time.

Both sides had full rosters, but it was the Pirates who did best, scoring two more goals in the last quarter to win the match 7-5.

Barracudas' Alex Dobbin was the highest goal-scorer of the match with three.

Jackie Clarke and Stacey Rickard, also from Barracudas, were named fairest and best players along with Pirates' Clare Bailey.

In the men's game, Barracudas and Pirates were close until Barracudas went on a goal-scoring spree and won the game 13-7.

Barracudas' Byron Newbold was the highest goal-scorer with four and was also named fairest and best along with teammate Paul Richardson and Pirates' Balazs Markus.
