Numbers down for Easter game

Garion ShakespearePilbara News

Numbers were a bit down at last Wednesday’s Nickol Bay Hockey Association game due to the Easter break, leaving teams with smaller numbers.

The upside of this was extra room for our talented ball runners, who had plenty of space to show off their skills.

The Ballantyne Family had their whole tribe on the field for the first time this season. The Ballantyne children showed skills well above their age, having most likely inherited their parents’ skills.

Alex Walter was his usual energetic self and with his ability to run the whole game was a great role model for young and old players alike.

Tonight’s game will be at the Bulgarra Tennis Courts starting at 6.30pm.

The hockey club runs a mixed competition and is always looking for new players to join a team.

To join the action, head down on Wednesday nights or call Steve on 9144 4423.
