The Pistons were unlucky to miss out on what could have been a stunning come-from-behind result towards the end of their round 10 men’s A-grade game again Pardoo Katz on Thursday.

Pardoo were in good form and dominated their opponents throughout the first half, going to half-time at 33-14.

But 10 minutes into the second half, the Pistons came storming back, launching a blistering offensive onslaught in which two and three-pointer shots rained in.

Five minutes later, Pardoo were only one point up with the scoreboard at 44-43.

But they fought back, and their accurate scoring when given several free-throw opportunities allowed them to edge out their opponents by mere points in the dying minutes.

They won 47-44 to get a much-needed win on the board.

Yogetit remain on top of the men’s A-grade ladder after defeating Trouts School 38-24, while Mayuga Majik defeated Coral Trouts 36-19.

In women’s B-grade, the Hawks v Goat Trouts game had supporters on the edge of their seats when it was a 20-all draw at full-time but there were two free throws pending for the Hawks after the final siren.

Hawks’ Faith Hall shot one in, handing her team the win by one point.

Blazers beat Lady Falcons despite their opponents trying to strike back from behind late in the second half.

While it wasn’t quite enough in the end, the late effort did succeed in narrowing the final margin to a five-point difference.

Meanwhile Sinners beat Dribblers confidently with a 31-16 score.

Young men’s B-grade side the Schoolers added another win to their tally with a victory over Redbacks, while the Heat defeated Vipers and Cardinals beat the Pelicans.

In the division’s other match of the night, Prodigy’s fast and offensive play enabled them to break away from an extremely tight first half against the Flakers to get a lead in the second and eventually win 33-24. In the women’s A-grade, Mud Flaps and Hello Trouts had narrow wins over the Falcons and Pegy Flyers respectively.
