Watch and Act issued for Tom Price

Tom Price residents are on notice with a bushfire watch and act alert in action.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services is warning residents of a possible threat to lives and homes, and people should be ready to leave or defend their properties.

The fire has burnt through 56,000 hectares and is moving slowly in a westerly direction through bushland west of Karijini National Park.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
