A man has been charged with a raft of driving offences after he was allegedly filmed being a menace on the suburban roads of Duncraig.

Footage posted online on Friday afternoon showed a black Holden Maloo ute doing burnouts in the street before losing control and crashing at a nearby property.

Police say a 40-year-old man was behind the wheel about 2.45pm when he approached the roundabout at Glengarry Drive and Guron Road, mounted the curb and drove over the median strip on the wrong side of the roundabout.

He lost control and hit a small tree outside a home on Guron Road before allegedly backing out, doing a burnout and speeding away.

He lost control and hit a small tree outside a home on Guron Road before allegedly backing out, doing a burnout and speeding away.

The man then allegedly fishtailed along the road before mounting another curb on the corner of Cummings Way — about 250m away.

He then allegedly swerved back onto the road before hitting a pedestrian rail in the middle of the road, causing the ute to spin out 180 degrees and crash into a limestone wall and fence.

In footage from the incident, the driver denied he was under the influence, allegedly saying it was “an accident” and claiming he “didn’t have anything to do with it”.

Police have since arrested and charged the man, from Sorrento, with driving over the blood alcohol limit of 0.05, no authority to drive — cancelled, driving an unlicensed vehicle, as well as reckless driving in a confiscation zone, which is any road with a 50km/h speed limit or a school zone.

He will face Joondalup Magistrates Court on July 26.
