Looking for something to do this Australia Day?

Here's a run down of what's on in the West Pilbara.

Karratha Leisureplex is the place to be from 4pm to 7pm on Sunday. There's free pool entry, an Aussie bakery and barbecue, children's activities, live music, and even a Guinness World Records challenge to beat. A fireworks display will round off the night.

Dampier Community Association will celebrate Australian's love of sport and the great outdoors at Hampton Oval from 8.30am to 12.30pm. You'll be able to fuel up on a brekkie burger, before competing in a number of novelty activities, including a wheelbarrow race, lilo race, and tug-of-war.

The Shire of Ashburton has lots of poolside activities planned with free barbecue breakfasts in Tom Price, Pannawonica, Paraburdoo, and Onslow.

Tom Price and Paraburdoo residents can head down to their towns' pools for water sports, including a giant inflatable thong race. Check out the Shire's websites for more details on activities in the four towns at http://www.ashburton.wa.gov.au/ .
