The Mother's Day Classic is set to run for its third year in Tom Price on May 10, to raise money for breast cancer research.

The Tom Price event offers a 4km walk, 4km run and 8km run.

The course will start and finish at Lion's Park on North Road, where participants will be required to run a loop through Area W.

Event organiser Anna Curtis said she was hoping to better last year's turnout of more than 150 participants.

"Last year we raised over $5000 for breast cancer research and we want to match that this year," she said.

"The aim is to deliver a fun, healthy and inspirational event that brings the community together on Mother's Day to support and remember those touched by breast cancer.

"If you cannot participate, you can come along and support all walkers and runners and join in the entertainment and activity taking place around the course."

There will be prizes for the highest fundraisers and competitors who place in the top three, as well entertainment.
