Cooloongup sex assault: Teen, 14, sexually assaulted by man on oval along Elanora Drive

Police are investigating a shocking sex attack on a young girl south of Perth.

Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad say the incident occurred in Cooloongup on Saturday night about 10.45pm.

Police say a 14-year-old girl was walking through an oval on Elanora Drive when she was approached by a man and sexually assaulted.

The girl alerted a friend and police were soon notified.

The male is described as having an olive/tanned complexion, and was wearing a green jumper and dark coloured shorts.
