Detectives charge driver over alleged hit-and-run in Shoalwater that left 30-year-old man seriously injured

A man has been charged with a host of offences over an alleged hit-and-run in Shoalwater that left a 30-year-old man seriously injured. Police say a grey LDV utility struck a 30-year-old man in the driveway of an apartment complex on Safety Bay Road about 11pm on Wednesday. The victim was seriously injured and taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital for treatment. It is alleged the driver left the scene. A few hours later, police say they found the ute and the driver who was charged with offences including unlawful act or omission with intent to harm, failed to stop and ensure assistance after incident occasioning bodily harm and fail to report an incident occasioning bodily harm.
