Online registration for the Karratha Mother's Day Classic this Sunday closes tonight at midnight.

Organiser Rebecca Jarvis encouraged people keen to take part in the walk or run events to pre-register and save time instead of doing an on-the-day registration, which would be open from 6.45am.

This year's event will be hosted by Spirit 1260am announcer Pablo Newton Farley from 7am before the first run gets under way at 8am.

There will be plenty of free activities and entertainment including the PCYC bouncy castle, face painting, an appearance by GWN7s Doopa Dog, APEX breakfast barbecue and a medal and gift for all participants.

Ms Jarvis said the new course would have a start and finish line at the Pegs Creek Oval.

"The new course is more accessible and safer for participants, particularly those pushing prams," she said.

"It takes advantage of the new pedestrian footpaths and bridges constructed by the City of Karratha and includes a partial closure of Balmoral Road between Hillview and Warambie.

"Dogs are not permitted at the event - bring your own water and be aware of limited parking at the venue."

Organisers encouraged participants to bring their own timing device.

Ms Jarvis said Karratha fundraising had been going well this year.

"Last year, we raised more than $37,000 and hope to top that this year," she said.

"We'll be awarding the trophy for highest individual and highest team fundraiser after the event."

The Ray White team has raised more than $5700 and will be dying office boss Richard Naulls' hair pink.

All money raised goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Ms Jarvis said more than 600 people were expected to attend.

"I always love to see the fun costumes at the event on the day - nothing says commitment to the cause like a man in a tutu," she said.
