In a case of anything Broome can do Pannawonica can do it too, the residents of the small mining town pulled out their whips and boot-scooting shoes for a dance montage.

Two months ago the Broome community filmed a clip featuring residents dancing to the song Happy by Pharrell Williams.

The infectious song spurred on the some of the staff from the Shire of Ashburton to facilitate a Happy Panna video which was released on Sunday, time to coincide with Mental Health Week.

Haul trucks, trains, horses and kart-wheeling townsfolk all feature in the clip.

Shire of Ashburton president Kerry White said the video was a highlight of Mental Health Week activities and showcased both great community spirit and some of the of the activities that people can be involved in, which in turn, boosts wellbeing.

"At the Panna Men's Shed, men will (also) get together over pizza for a men's health talk," she said.

Pannawonica residents have also been busy with their knitting needles yarn bombing some of the town's trees this week.

Mrs White said school students had contributed to the project as well.

"A team of about 15 knitters have been putting their knitting and crocheting skills to good use in recent weeks," she said.

"These colourful creations are combined with messages of hope and wellness."
