Motorists are stuck in heavy traffic this morning after multiple crashes and a vehicle breakdown on Kwinana Freeway.

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a collision on Kwinana Freeway northbound before South Street, Murdoch.

The right lane has been closed by Incident Response and the driver involved in the crash is outside of their vehicle.

Traffic is severely congested and motorists have been urged to approach with caution.

Another crash on Leach Highway eastbound at Kwinana Freeway, Brentwood has been cleared.

Towing services cleared the area after traffic was reduced to a single lane.

Traffic is now flowing.

A breakdown on Kwinana Freeway southbound before Rowley Road, Wandi has been cleared but traffic remains slow.

Towing services have removed the vehicle that was parked in the left emergency lane.
