Program offers sport support

The Department of Sport and Recreation's KidSport program was launched in Paraburdoo and Tom Price last month.

The program provides financial assistance of up to $200 to children between five and 18 to participate in sport and recreation.

The sessions were aimed at local sporting and recreational clubs, local service providers and those who may be eligible for the assistance.

Both events were well attended, with two local clubs registering for the program and three service providers registered as referral agents.
