Onslow students were treated to two sessions of Youth sports with soccer legend Bobby Despotovski earlier this month.

Despotovski showed off some fancy footwork and led participants through a series of skills-based games.

V Swans regional manager Ashburton Sarah Wright said this once in a lifetime opportunity allowed children to learn from an A-League star whilst having fun and staying active.

"The program is part of a national initiative to provide school-aged children the opportunity to participate in a range of sports," she said.

"Increased physical activity for children has been proven to increase cognitive function, improving memory, behaviour, concentration and academic achievement."

This event was kindly supported by the Active Life Program, Wheatstone Project and Bechtel.
