Support secures future of playgroup
The Dampier Playgroup will continue to operate after securing a new committee last week.
The group was at risk of closure after failing to appoint key positions on the executive committee, as well as general committee vacancies, at the annual general meeting.
Dampier Playgroup president Angela Harnden said she was grateful for the outpouring of support from the community.
"We have had a huge response since the last article was put out," she said.
"We've seen an increase in membership and plenty of people nominating for positions."
Mrs Harnden said the playgroup would continue to operate from 9am to 11am Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
