Fremantle are facing the toughest assignment in footy without their captain Alex Pearce, but can they dig deep against Sydney and announce themselves as a serious finals threat?

Andrew Braysahw will lead the side, as Pearce sits out the next month with a broken arm, with the Dockers hoping to repeat their success at 2023 last year and upset the Swans.

It should be an enthralling midfield battle with Isaac Heeney, Errol Gulden and Chad Warner facing the likes of Brayshaw, Caleb Serong, Hayden Young and Nat Fyfe.

Can the Dockers pull off something special? Relive all the action below.

We’ll leave it there

There will be plenty to come from this one. But for now, Freo fans revel in this because that’s a massive win. Do we dare to dream?

Alex Pearce probably sums it well

FULL-TIME FREMANTLE 15.9 (99) SYDNEY 14.14 (98)

What a game of footy and what a win from Fremantle. They led for the entire game and could have lost it after the siren but Logan McDonald fluffed the kick. Josh Draper was unbelievable as the whole defence lifted in the absence of Pearce. Nick Blakey almost inspired the Swans but it fell just short.

DOCKERS WINNNN

He has a kick from right on 50 with the game to be won. But it’s a horror kick from McDOnald as it sprays high and wide for no-score the Dockers win by a point!

ON THE LINE

LOGAN MCDONALD HAS A KICK AFTER THE SIREN

Dockers edge ahead

Sharp has a shot form an impossible angle but he gets a point to put them in front. Josh Draper is a hero to intercept the kick out of defence and send the Dokcers forward but it’s a rushed behind.

WE’RE ALL TIED UP

Darcy is clumsy as his knee falls into the back of the Swans defender. It’s a loaded forward line but somehow Logan McDonald is left alone as he takes an uncontested mark to tie the game.
