Car crashes into Westpac office building on St Georges Terrace in Perth CBD

A silver ute has smashed into Westpac bank offices on the corner of St Georges Terrace and William Street in Perth’s CBD.

A police spokeswoman said officers found no sign of the driver in or around the building when they arrived.

The ute crashed into the building at 4.20pm and is still lodged inside.

Power has been cut inside the building as officers investigate the crash, clean debris and determine the structural integrity.

No one was in the building when the crash took place.

A manhunt is now under way to find the crashed car’s driver.
