The Greatest Magic Show to amaze and astound this school holidays

Children and adults alike can expect to be amazed this school holidays as the Greatest Magic Show visits Bunbury, promising a night of big laughs and tricks for all the family. The Greatest Magic Show will be playing at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on January 11 off the back of an international tour. Magician and co-creator Justin Williams has been doing magic since his early teens and said he and his co-star Sam Hume had been working and touring the current production for nearly a decade. “It’s a very fun magic show we’ve had for about seven years now,” Williams said. “It’s very fun, bright, crazy, big, colourful with a ringmaster that leads through it and keeps it on track and two magicians, myself and Sam. “(There is) lots of audience participation, lots of silliness.” Hume and Williams have been working together since they met at the 2012 Melbourne Magic Show. Since debuting The Greatest Magic Show in 2018, the show received international acclaim, including winning an award for the best kids show at Sydney Fringe Festival 2019 and best children’s event at the Fringe World 2019 Weeklies. The pair pride themselves on delivering a show filled with the highest forms of magic and illusion while being entertaining for all family members. “One of the main comments we get is that the kids loved it but the grown-ups did too. There’s no innuendos, but there’s a lot of jokes in there for adults,” Williams said. “It’s the beauty of magic. It’s the second longest-lasting profession, people just love it. You can do a really fun routine which would be hilarious without the magic, but then add the magic into it for that wow factor. “That’s what we’ve always tried to do — take funny and great routines and then add a really amazing magic trick at the end.” Every child who attends will receive a free magic wand as the Greatest Magic Show plays for one night only on January 11 from 5pm at BREC.
